At school, towards the end of the day
Hype and energy are at play
A rumble, a mumble of feelings had
And tellings shared, like a childhood fad
Playful illustrations of delight
Is heard through the corridors
Uncontained scurried thoughts
Like a fight for replicable words
I can’t wait for this,
I can’t wait for that,
Can’t wait for the end of the day
And the end of the week
They continuously chat
I’m going to my friend’s place to play!
Oh! And a party is waiting at the end
of the month
Perhaps a pony ride too!
Every day is new
And cool
Life is absolutely wonderful
At school

The children use their excitement for the end of the day to keep them happy at school. The energy filled school with anticipation to finally go home.
